I started as a scientist. Seven years of doctoral research taught me to ask hard questions, follow evidence, and communicate findings precisely. Somewhere along the way, I discovered that those same instincts are exactly what good IP work demands and that's where I've found my home.
A rare intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic IP acumen. My PhD in Engineering Sciences specialising in membrane separation, materials characterisation, and solvent transport modelling gives me the technical foundation to evaluate patents, prior art, and FTO landscapes with genuine rigour.
I've led IP work at one of India's fastest-growing wearable health companies, and currently lead the research pipeline at a stealth US startup in digital health. I also independently consult at Uravu Labs in Bangalore a company whose mission I genuinely believe in. I research, I analyse, I write and I understand the science behind every claim.
My career has taken an unusual path from membrane science research to clinical trial documentation to IP strategy and I think that breadth is genuinely useful. I understand what researchers are trying to protect, I know how to read the science behind a claim, and I can communicate across the gap between R&D teams and the IP process. Over the past few years, I've supported IP work across 83+ filings, led FTO analyses across six jurisdictions, and written more than 80 clinical protocols always trying to make complex things clear.
